A ten-minute toilet cleaning routine that actually sticks

Most people dislike toilet cleaning because they wait until it looks bad, then spend forty minutes on a job that could stay manageable with a short weekly pass. Keep a dedicated caddy under the sink: rubber gloves, toilet brush, microfibre cloth, and a cleaner suitable for ceramic and limescale.

Order matters. Squirt bowl cleaner under the rim and leave it while you wipe the seat, lid, and handle with disinfectant. Brush the bowl from rim to waterline, flush, then brush once more. Dry the seat with a cloth — wet surfaces attract dust and limescale faster in hard-water areas common across NI.
